Measuring 1800mm in diameter with a 90mm thick top and standing at a standard height of 750mm, this piece is more than just a dining table; it’s designed to bring people together.
One of the standout features of this table is its inbuilt Lazy Susan. For those unfamiliar with this practical addition, a Lazy Susan is a rotating tray placed on the table, making it easy for everyone to reach dishes and condiments. This Lazy Susan has been set inside the tabletop, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the table’s design.
The table itself features a cone base, enabling comfortable seating. The use of American Oak timber is not only durable but also adds a natural texture that enhances any dining space.
This beautiful table was crafted specifically for Kyal and Lesley, contestants on Channel Nine’s The Block 2023. As House Number 1 from Perth, Kyal and Lesley aimed to create a dining space that was both functional and visually stunning. However, the original area designated for the table proved too small, necessitating changes to better accommodate it.
The adjustments made to the internal space not only allowed for more comfort and seating but also highlighted the Solid Timber Circular Table. The effort paid off handsomely, as Kyal and Lesley won first place for Kitchen and Dining week, with the table being a central feature in their victory.
