    3 x coats clear lacquer (20% gloss). Hand buffered wax.

    Type of Joinery
    Mortice and tenon, Mitred edging with floating tenons.

    Notes: Constructed using 4 long lengths of timber. The boards have been Mitre joined on an angle creating a “waterfall” effect to accentuate the beauty of the grain. Each join has been tenoned providing optimal strength to the joint and no opening up of the join.

    Round Butcher’s Block Coffee Table

    The timber, very old hanging beams, was retrieved from a demolished factory. The top of the table beautifully displays the end grain of the timber exhibiting the growth rings of each piece of wood. One of Melbourne’s finest wood turners has turned the shape.

    Hand applied soap finish.

    Recycled Oregon. Available in a variety of timbers. American Walnut featured.
