A number of traditional furniture-making techniques used in the construction of this piece. Solid timber throughout, a great deal of detail, including hand beading. All natural features in timber have been filled with clear resin, preserving the timber’sNotes: Solid timber slats featuring pre-drilled, sunken and arised holes for screws, preventing mattress damage. Solid timber posts and construction using traditional methods of joinery. The timber used in this bed originated from a dead tree blown over during high gust winds in a storm.
The Olivia Sideboard
Read moreDesigned in September 2019 by Christian, this magnificent bespoke sideboard/console is not only aesthetically pleasing but extremely functional. It features intricate detailing using thermally modified American White Ash timber giving the timber a burnt appearance. Drawers feature solid timber cutlery divisions, lined with felt. Each drawer features dovetail joinery and is fitted with premium quality Blum drawer runners (fully extendable and soft closing). Each cupboard features a solid timber shelf resting on adjustable solid brass pins. The thermally modified timber has been carefully routered and moulded to the curved finger openings. This detail is also present in the symmetrically angled, solid timber legs.
